2010 UC San Diego Data Mining Contest

The first task is to maximize the AUC of binary classification on a test data set, given a fully labeled training data set. The second task is similar to task 1, but is on a boolean-transformed data set.

The VAST 2010 Challenge continues in the footsteps of the VAST 2009 Challenge, VAST 2008 Challenge and the 2007 and 2006 contests with the purpose of pushing the forefront of visual analytics tools using benchmark data sets and establishing a forum to advance visual analytics evaluation methods.
Istanbul Stock Exchange 25th Anniversary Best Paper Competition

The winners will be awarded their prizes at ISE 25th Anniversary Celebrations, which will take place in December, 2010 in İstanbul. The author of the top-prize winning paper will present her/his paper in the presence of distinguished guests.
IEEE ICDM Contest: Road Traffic Prediction for Intelligent GPS Navigation

The task is to predict city traffic based on historical measurements or real-time stream of notifications sent by individual drivers from their GPS navigators. Prizes worth $5,000 or more will be awarded to the winners. The competition will start in the end of June.
The Omniture Web Analytics Competition

After performing the analysis, teams then present their findings and recommendations to a panel of Omniture judges who in turn choose four teams to present at the competition's final event.
